The African poultry feed industry is projected to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.19% to reach USD 26.63 billion by 2029. These figures demonstrate how successfully the market has changed and how the continent is moving toward becoming a major player in the food, poultry and livestock sectors.
Moreover, with the food habits changed and the population increasing, demands for meat, fish, eggs and milk have risen. But with the abundant resources - there lacks cutting-edge and cost-effective technologies that can elevate the untapped market. This presents an exceptional business opportunity for companies like yours that can bring technology and solutions including Automation Systems, IoT Poultry & Livestock Monitoring, Climate-Controlled Housing, Animal Health Tracking Devices, Aquaculture Technology, Cold Chain Logistics, Quality Assurance Software, Smart Packaging, Automated Feeders and what not!
With exceptional opportunities, the challenge is to expand before your competitor does - especially in East Africa. Through the 2nd Future Food Livestock & Poultry Expo 2026 Kenya, we will connect you with trustworthy stakeholders and channel partners - who will be looking to meet, network and implement your expertise in their business.

Evolving Consumer Preferences
The consumption of higher-value nutritional commodities has increased noticeably in Africa as economies expand, which is indicative of shifting dietary choices and a focus on healthier food options.
Booming Market Size
The African food, beverage, and livestock markets are experiencing robust growth. By 2030, the demand for food products is expected to increase by 55%. Poultry production is expanding rapidly annually, fueled by increasing demand for affordable protein sources.
Demand for Packaged Food
The market for Convenience food and Ready-to-Eat meals is expected to grow 18.5% each year from 2024 to 2028 as consumers delve into diverse taste experiences and also due to the growth of the Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering (HORECA) industry.
Favourable Government Initiatives
Favourable Government Initiatives and investments in the food and beverage sector, coupled with advancements in packaging technology, further support the expansion of the packaged food market in the region.
Strong Livestock Sector
Africa is home to approximately one-third of the world's livestock, with Kenya boasting one of the continent's largest herds. This positions Kenya as a strategic player in the livestock sector, which contributes significantly to the economy and food security. The country's livestock population is critical for both local consumption and export, with meat production expected to grow by 1.4 million tons by 2032.
Growing Demand for Food Processing Machinery
Africa's food processing sector is set to reach approximately $36 billion by 2025. This growth is driven by an increasing urban population and rising middle-class incomes, creating demand for shelf-stable and convenient food products.
