The Kenyan dairy industry is among the top in Africa and is the leading in East Africa. The industry is on an upward trajectory with an estimated growth rate of 3% - 4 % per year.

The SUN Movement brings together development agencies, inter-governmental organizations, civil society groups, and business to support government-led actions that improve peoples nutrition. 67 SUN Countries from Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa, home to at least half of the world’s chronically undernourished children, have joined the SUN Movement. The emphasis of the Movement is on effective implementation of national plans that combine proven nutrition interventions, with the pursuit of multi-sectoral strategies that address the underlying determinants of malnutrition.
